Description

The revolutionary new McMurdo Smartfind S20 is the result of improvements and the miniaturisation of AIS (Automatic Identification System) SART technology. A personal AIS device, designed to assist in the recovery of a man over board. It is lightweight and compact and intended to be carried by all crew members.

The SRS (Survival Recovery System) has been specifically designed and is compatible with existing AIS enabled chart plotters and on-board navigation systems providing a reliable and cost effective solution for crew safety.

The Smartfind S20 can be carried in its belt pouch or mounted on a life jacket using the clips provided, prior to going to sea. When installed on the lifejacket the orange safety tab is released which ‘arms’ the S20 ready for use. To use; first inflate the life jacket, then pull the orange tab downwards to release the red cap from the S20, this will then deploy the antenna and automatically switch on the S20.
